Before joining Bannermans Lawyers as Special Counsel in 2010, Banjo worked for over 10 years in some of Sydney’s leading insurance practices focusing on resolving construction related disputes primarily on the instructions of insurers. He enjoys a highly strategic approach to litigation and considering all possibilities for achieving good outcomes for his clients. Banjo became a Partner at Bannermans in March 2012.

Banjo primarily practises in the NSW Courts and the Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal. He is a well-known and respected practitioner in the District Court and Supreme Court Construction Lists and in the Home Building Division of the CTTT. He has substantial expertise in all aspects of:

• Claims of all kinds and sizes against many different kinds of construction professionals particularly architects and engineers;
• Building defect claims
• Providing policy cover advice and acting in insurance indemnity disputes in relation to home warranty, professional indemnity, public liability property damage and contract works insurance policies;
• Claims against managing agents;
• Claims against members of many non-construction related professions.

• Appearing at mediations;

• Cost order negotiation and assessment issues.
