Alissa Leow

Alissa joined Bannermans Lawyers in November 2025. Prior to joining the firm, she gained extensive experience working across a range of legal environments, including boutique and mid‑tier practices as well as in‑house roles. Her experience spans a broad range of construction, development and property matters, including contract review and drafting, property acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, conveyancing and commercial advisory work. At Bannermans, Alissa practises primarily in construction and strata law, with experience advising on both front-end contract matters and back-end dispute resolution.

Construction

  • Advising on and reviewing building contracts, consultancy agreements and project management agreements;
  • Acting for owners corporations, builders and consultants across various construction matters;
  • Advising on development, property and strata issues, including access deeds, easements, and general contracts, deeds and licences;
  • Advising on compliance with the Design and Building Practitioners legislation;
  • Advising owners corporations on building defects, insurance claims, remedies and limitation periods; and
  • Assisting and acting for owners corporations in building defect proceedings in NCAT and the Supreme Court of NSW, including preparing applications and related documents.

Strata Law

  • Drafting and advising on by-laws for owners corporations and individual lot owners; and
  • Assisting with boundary issues, including fencing and retaining wall disputes.

  • Bachelor of Laws, University of Technology Sydney 2018
  • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, University of Technology Sydney 2018
  • Admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales 2018
  • Member of the Law Society of NSW
