Jun Chen

Jun has been working at Bannermans since October 2024. Jun Chen is both admitted as a Chinese lawyer and a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW, Australia. Jun previously worked as a Chinese lawyer based in Indonesia for 3.5 years, specialising in corporate law, foreign investment and mergers & acquisition.

Prior to Bannermans, Jun worked in a law firm at Sydney CBD area and was predominantly focused on property and business law, assisting clients in their sale and purchase of businesses and commercial & retail lease matters. Jun acted for various well-known entities in leasing matters for a large number of commercial buildings and shopping malls. He speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

Since joining Bannermans, Jun has worked in the following team undertaking the following:

Strata Law

• advising on and drafting by-laws for owners corporations and individuals;
• advising on strata matters generally, including disputes in respect of ownership, letting, and repair and maintenance responsibilities;
• advising on and drafting Building /Strata Management Statements, including apportionment of shared facilities, dispute resolution mechanisms and insurance obligations;
• advising on compliance with the Design and Building Practitioners Legislation;
• advising on boundary matters, including tree, fencing and retaining wall disputes; and
• participating in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation.”
