Mark Pollinger

Mark joined Bannermans Lawyers in June 2010 and brought with him more than 20 years Commercial and Property Law experience from several CBD legal practices and two large financial institutions.

He enjoys providing solutions to complex property and commercial issues.

Mark practises all aspects of property and commercial law, including:

  • Property development
  • Construction contracts
  • Property law, including strata title, community title and company title
  • Residential and commercial conveyancing
  • Business law, including structuring, finance, sale and purchase, leasing and employment
  • Intellectual property, including copyright and trademarks
  • Contract law, in relation to diverse industries, but with particular focus on the information technology, franchising, pharmaceutical and construction industries including government and other tendering

Mark’s insurance related experience includes:

  • Advising insurers and persons making claims against insurers in relation to insurance liability, with particular focus on commercial property damage and business interruption.
  • Conducting transactional matters on behalf of insurers in relation to their property portfolios, including commercial conveyancing and leasing.
  • Acting as panel solicitor for a leading insurer in relation to loan & mortgage transactions, including property development, hotel and other commercial and residential finance.
  • Secondment to a leading insurer, with particular focus on compliance issues and reorganisation of the insurer’s agency network, as well as assisting the insurer’s in-house counsel with product development, contract, HR and other issues.

Mark’s property development experience includes:

  • Acting for developers carrying out a wide range of development projects in NSW and Queensland, including residential lot subdivisions and commercial and residential strata developments.
  • Acting as panel solicitor for a lenders financing property development projects.
  • Acting for builders and other contractors carrying out construction works in conjunction with property development projects.
  • Acting for purchasers from developers, including “off the plan” strata apartment purchases and purchasers of house and land packages.

  • Bachelor of Laws (Sydney) (1987)
  • Member of the Law Society of NSW
  • admitted to the roll of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (1987).
  • admitted to the roll of the High Court of Australia (1987).
