Paul has been working at Bannermans since September 2024. Before joining Bannermans, Paul worked at a boutique law firm in Sydney CBD, initially as a paralegal and then as a lawyer, working on a large range of matters including:
Construction contract advice
Construction disputes including defect claims, breach of contract, SOPA claims
Commercial leasing
Employment including unfair dismissal, contract reviews and adverse action
Tax including CGT advice
Paul works in the Building and Construction team undertaking the following work:
Advising owners corporations on building defects, insurance claims, legal remedies, relevant limitations periods;
Assisting with acting for owners corporations in building defect claims in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Supreme Court of NSW;
Drafting applications for building defect claims in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Supreme Court of NSW;
Briefing and engaging with technical building experts such as consultant specialists, surveyors and engineers;
Drafting settlement deeds and agreements and advising on same; and
Assisting clients with contract negotiations, Fair Trading disputes and HBCF insurance claims.
