Paul Wiseman

Paul has been working at Bannermans since October 2013. Before joining Bannermans Paul worked in-house at a top-tier construction company, initially as a paralegal and subsequently as an admitted solicitor, working on major construction disputes in the NSW and QLD Supreme Courts including:

Building Defects Claims;
Contractual Disputes including disputes as to extensions of time and variations;
Professional Negligence Claims; and
Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediation and adjudication.

Since joining Bannermans, Paul has worked in both the Strata and Construction teams undertaking the following work:

Strata

Advising on and drafting by-laws for owners corporations and individuals;
Advising on and drafting adjudication applications and responses in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal;
Representing owners corporations in the Local Court regarding claims understatute, contract and tort; and
Advising an owners corporation on the transfer of intellectual property and drafting a deed to effect transfer.

Construction

Advising owners corporations on building defects, insurance claims, legal remedies and relevant limitations periods;
Acting for owners corporations in building defect claims in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and NSW Supreme Court;
Acting for builders in building defects claims in the Local Court and NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal;
Participating in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation; and
Advising on and drafting settlement deeds.
