Jack has been at Bannermans since February 2021. Prior to joining Bannermans Jack worked as a paralegal at a boutique construction law firm for two years in both front end contract administration and back end construction litigation. Working on major construction disputes across NSW, ACT, Victoria and NT, including:

• Multiple levels of contractual disputes including but not limited to major and minor works contracts, head contracts, subcontracts, consultancy agreements, design agreements and deeds of warranty and indemnity;
• Carriage of multiple share sale agreements and preparation of deeds of sale and deeds of exclusivity for share sellers;
• Construction litigation in Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court and NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal; and
• Mediation and adjudications.

Since joining Bannermans as a Lawyer, Jack has been promoted to Associate and worked primarily in the Construction team focusing on:

 Building and Construction

• Advising owners corporations on building defects, insurance claims, legal remedies and relevant limitations periods;
• Acting for owners corporations in building defect claims in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and NSW Supreme Court;
• Providing advice and acting for clients on personal injury mould cases, major structural defects matters and section 106 of the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 disputes;
• Experience in both NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal, Local Court, District Court, NSW Supreme Court and Land & Environment Court disputes for all matters, including strata schemes applications and home building applications;
• Reviewing and preparing advice to clients on all forms of construction contracts, including Australian Standards (AS), HIA, Master Builders Association, NSW OFT contracts and numerous others;
• Providing advice to owners corporations in light of the Design & Building Practitioners Act 2020.
