Arina Sian

Arina has been working at Bannermans since January 2023 and has continued to develop her legal skills, fast becoming highly regarded as a specialist strata lawyer within the firm. Arina has worked on countless strata litigation matters that have achieved favourable outcomes for her clients, showing a commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to advocacy and providing advice. Whether representing an owners corporation or individual lot owner, Arina approaches each matter with meticulous attention to detail and a strategic mindset aimed at achieving the best possible outcome.

Since joining Bannermans, Arina has undertaken the following work:

Strata Litigation

  • Advising owners corporations and individual lot owners with respect to strata disputes;
  • Appearing on behalf of owners corporations and individual lot owners in strata litigation matters in the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal, Land and Environment Court of NSW and Supreme Court of NSW in directions hearings, interlocutory applications and final hearings;
  • Running the day-to-day carriage of litigation matters from providing advice to the client, preparing letters of demand, preparing applications commencing proceedings and running the proceedings until determination of the Court or Tribunal;
  • Appearing on behalf of owners corporations and individual lot owners in defence of proceedings brought against them; and
  • Advising on and drafting settlement documents including deeds of settlement and consent orders.

Qualifications/Memberships

  • Bachelor of Biodiversity and Conservation (Macquarie University, Sydney) 2019;
  • Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) (Honours) (University of Notre Dame Australia) 2022;
  • Diploma of Practical Legal Training (The College of Law) 2023;
  • Admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW; and
  • Member of the Law Society of NSW.
